The Board of Commissioners meet on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

Meetings are held in the Central Office Board Room located at:
511 W. Trinity Place, Decatur GA 30030

Meetings begin at 4:30 pm.

DHA was formed in 1938 in service to Decatur.  As a public housing authority, it is authorized by State Law with a Charter and Bylaws.  Operations are supported by a City of Decatur Resolution.  Governance is completed by a six-member Board comprised of five citizen Commissioners with five year terms and one resident (served by DHA) Commissioner with a one year term. Commissioners are appointed by the Mayor of the City of Decatur. DHA is a Partner Agency to the City, but not a part of the City government.  DHA receives no funding from local or state property taxes.  DHA operates a diverse assemblage of corporations and nonprofits.  It is exactly this diverse and interrelated structure that allows specialized purposes for each corporation or nonprofit to work together in a manner that raises the quality of the development, funding, operations, management, and resident services for its clients.
