Affordable Housing

More
Affordable Housing is a service available to needy individuals and families that provides rental assistance to housing in an effort to help those recipients to become financially independent.  Families with incomes of 0% to 80% of Area Median Income pay 30% of adjusted income towards rent and utilities in DHA's 400 Affordable Housing apartments located in downtown Decatur.  These are Project Based Rental Assistance (PBRA) units that are assisted with Low Income Housing Tax Credits.  DHA does not operate any public housing in Decatur.

DHA is excited to offer three affordable housing communities in Decatur with supportive resident services and excellent on-site amenities!

Allen Wilson - Allen Wilson is a 191-unit community consisting of three phases constructed between 2008 and 2014.  There are 40 family units in Allen Wilson Phases I and 71 units in Allen Wilson Phase III.  Phase II of Allen Wilson is the Oliver House, a four story mid-rise which houses 80 Senior housing units for families 62 years of age and older.
