The Housing Authority of the City of Decatur, Georgia offers many programs and services
to meet the needs of the City of Decatur and to provide for its growth and development
and to assist individuals and families at varying levels of income to afford to live
in quality housing in the City of Decatur
Our programs are designed to meet the needs of renters, owners, and hopeful owners;
welfare recipients, young families, service workers, police and fire personnel, the
elderly, and many others.
With these goals in mind, the Authority plans, develops and implements programs that
are specifically designed to improve the lives of our families, promote our thriving
community and to foster economic development within our city. Additionally the Authority
offers programs directly to the residents of its affordable housing rental communities.
To support the strength and diversity of the Decatur community by providing a wide
range of housing opportunities with a focus on affordable housing, promoting community
and economic development, and administering its program in a creative, cooperative,
responsive, and effective manner.
ATTENTION: Our offices are moving from Suite 110 to Suite 400. The offices will
be closed June 22nd through June 26th to complete the move. As a result, our phone
services will be temporarily unavailable on June 23rd and email service will be sporadic
throughout the move. Normal business hours will resume on June 27th.
Reminder our offices will be closed Thursday, Friday and Monday as we move to suite
400. We will reopen for business on Tuesday June 27th.
